About me
So who am I and what is the purpose of this site? I am a computer professional with more than ten years of experience developing and operating high performance and very large scale information retrieval systems. My focus during this time has primarily been on software architecture, performance aspects and software engineering processes. I have worked as an individual developer and as a manager for teams of up to 80 developers, spanning several continents. It has been great fun and a great ride, and it still is!
My main interests include:
- Software engineering, especially efficient and sustainable development of large-scale software systems.
- Large scale, high performance computing.
- Information retrieval and search technology.
- Software development in general.
- Information security, especially systems of interactions between mutually distrustful parties and privacy protecting technology.
I live in Oslo, Norway with my wife Emma and our kids. During my free time I enjoy music, films, vintage video games, board games and computing in general.
I am using this site to collect and make available stuff that are of interest to me and that I believe can be interesting or useful to others. Have fun!
